We are pleased to announce that the gardens are now open every day except Saturday, from 1pm – 4pm.
Sunday – Friday: 1pm – 4pm
Entry: £5 (payable in cash into the honesty box; children free)
We hope that you enjoy your visit. The gardens are looking wonderful – in particular the blue irises in the front courtyard and the peonies. The roses will bloom any day now, and the house martins have nested and are rearing their chicks.
Well behaved dogs are welcome on leads.
In order to ensure the safety of all, please follow the guidelines while enjoying the gardens:
* Please do not come if you or any member of your household are displaying any coronavirus symptoms – please follow governmental guidance and isolate.
* In order to protect staff from handling money, entry will be payable in cash into the honesty box, which is located at the entrance.
* Please maintain social distancing at all times.
* We have put up arrows to encourage a one-way system – please follow them! All gates will be left open.
* One toilet (disabled) will be open and cleaned regularly. The tearoom will remain closed.
* Should governmental guidelines change we may need to close the gardens once again – we will update the website accordingly.

BRINGING HISTORY TO LIFE
Please feel free to contact us to custom build a school visit. We are happy to work with you to provide a visit that suits your specific school projects or curriculum.
We can offer tours of the House with particular reference to the Victorian period and different architectural styles, sketching in the Walled Garden or a Woodland Walk with a photographic trail.
The ground floor of the house is accessible for wheel chairs. Unfortunately there is no access to the second floor of the house except via the stairs.
The Terraces, Walled Garden and part of the Woodland Walk are all accessible to wheel chairs, although the gravel paths can make pushing hard work.
THE CLOISTERS TEAROOM
The Tearoom is accessible down a short ramp through a side door.
There is a disabled toilet within the toilet block.
