Come and join us for a grand day out at the Hutton-in-the-Forest annual Plant and Food Fair on Sunday 23rd May. We were very sad to cancel last year and are delighted to be back in 2021.

Support over 30 local plant nurseries and small food and drink producers from across Cumbria, the northwest and southern Scotland – bringing cheese, meats, fish, organic veg, jams, trees, herbs, plants for the Cumbrian climate and garden ornaments. We also look forward to welcoming representatives from our friends at the Cumbria Wildlife Trustthe North Cumbria Orchard Group and the Penrith Beekeepers Association (who are bringing an apiary!)

Throughout the afternoon there will be free talks and walks including:

2pm Ben Houston, Head Gardener at Hutton-in-the-Forest – ‘Pruning and Care of your Roses’

This event is being held in line with, and subject to, Government guidelines and the lifting of restrictions. It is an outdoor event, come rain or (hopefully) shine! We will provide hand sanitiser at the entrance gate and there will be wardens working to discourage any crowds gathering. There is plenty of space in the gardens of Hutton for social distancing. Please do not come if you or any member of your household are displaying any coronavirus symptoms. Instead, follow government guidance and isolate. We will be keeping a close eye on government regulations over the coming weeks. If we are required to change any parts of the event we will update this page. Many thanks!
