Hutton-in-the-Forest provides a spectacular venue for private events and public occasions, as well as for filming.

The Grounds

As well as annual events such as Potfest and international cross-country horse trials, the extensive grounds of Hutton-in-the-Forest have hosted international film crews, the BBC’s ‘Antiques Road Show’ and touring theatre companies:

The Grounds (Gardens, Courtyard and Park)

The grounds and park surrounding Hutton provide a beautiful historic setting for all sorts of functions where outdoor space is required.

The Near Park

The Near Park Set against the striking backdrop of the house, the Near Park, approximately 25 acres, is a perfect location for larger launches and exhibitions. We host Potfest and the Historic Vehicle Show here annually. There is plenty of room to park a thousand cars and have a large arena/exhibition area.

The Gardens and Courtyard

The House and front Courtyard provide a unique and historic setting for product and car launches and outdoor exhibitions. The Walled Garden is a perfect venue for parties and receptions and the sloping west terrace acts as a natural amphitheatre for plays and concerts.

The Far Park

More than a hundred acres of rolling parkland and scattered woodland lie on the east side of the Penrith road which are excellent for large scale country events. The Skelton Show is held here annually, and there have also been caravan rallies and sheepdog trials. The British Horse Society also hold two and three day events here during the summer.

The House

Lord and Lady Inglewood host special receptions and concerts in the house. There are three big reception rooms as well as the Cloisters which are suitable for accommodating functions of different sizes and sorts:

The Hall

The Hall

The Hall is suitable for cocktails and canapés for up to 100. The Hall is softly lit and has lovely acoustics, which works well for a choir or a piano. The addition of live music means that guest numbers are reduced to 80.

The Dining Room

The Dining Room can seat up to 40 around two grand tables. This room is particularly suited to private birthday celebrations or exclusive corporate dinners.

The Gallery

In the past Lord and Lady Inglewood have hosted atmospheric candlelit dinners for up to 80 people in the Gallery. The Gallery has been restored without the addition of electric lighting, which ensures a truly authentic dining experience. The Gallery is usually used in conjunction with the Hall.

The Cloisters

The Cloisters (Tearoom) is a more informal space and easily holds up to 70 people.
